Raytheon wins communications orders for multiple offshore vessels

KIEL, Germany – Raytheon Anschütz Singapore will supply the bridge navigation and communication systems to a new platform supply vessel (PSV) under construction at the Keppel Singmarine Brasil shipyard.

The navigation bridge will be equipped in line with ABS requirements, with Synapsis radar and chart radar, Synapsis ECDIS, NautoPilot adaptive autopilot system, a triple Standard 22 gyro compass system, and other navigation sensors. Additionally, Raytheon will provide radio communication plus broadband equipment and CCTV.

In China, the company will supply integrated bridge systems to six PSVs under construction at the Fujian Southeast shipyard. The DNV NAUT-OSV compliant bridge systems comprise radar and chart radar systems, two ECDIS, Conning, gyro compasses, autopilot, and main navigation sensors.

Another contract involves supply of bridge systems to two newbuild DNV NAUT-OSV classed multi-purpose supply vessels ordered by Boa Offshore from Chinese Mingde shipyard. The scope covers radar, chart radar, ECDIS and Conning for the fore and aft bridge, along with gyro compasses, adaptive autopilot, navigation sensors and radio communication equipment.
