Saratoga has dual-zone completion in Main Pass well

Saratoga Resources Inc. (NYSE MKT: SARA) has completed its Roux Toux well as a producer.

HOUSTON –Saratoga Resources Inc. (NYSE MKT: SARA) has completed its Roux Toux well as a producer. The well, SL 195 QQ-25 in Main Pass block 47 field, reached measured TD of 8,453 ft. (2,576 m) and was completed in the 13 and 17 sands.

Flow testing indicated an initial production of 290 b/d of oil and 2.5 MMcf/d of natural gas. Flowing tubing pressure was 1,800 psi (12.41 MPa) on a 14/64-in choke on the short string and a 30/64-in. choke on the long string.

The well is tied back to Saratoga’s Grand Bay facilities.

“We are pleased with the results of the QQ-25 well,” said Thomas Cooke, chairman and CEO of Saratoga Resources. “The production tests were better than anticipated and the well came in under budgeted AFE costs. Continued results like this well should set the company up in 2013 to exceed its 2012 production growth rate of 18%.”
