Dockwise carries Big Foot hull into GoM for Chevron

BREDA, the Netherlands – Dockwise Ltd. has delivered the hull for Chevron’s Big Foot extended tension leg platform to Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Mighty Servant 1 took the hull from Silli-do Island, South Korea via the Cape of Good Hope to the Gulf of Mexico. The trip of 60 days covered 16,100 nautical mi. (29,632 km/18,413 mi).

To accommodate the structure, the deck of the Mighty Servant 1 was enlarged with four outriggers and was opened to reinforce the internal hull.
