STAVANGER, Norway – Well planning continues on the 9/95 Maja and 9/06 Gita licenses in the Danish North Sea, according to partner Noreco.

The goal is to drill a well on the Gita South prospect around the turn of this year.

In neighboring license 7/86, a new data evaluation is under way of the Amalie discovery. The results will determine the direction of further activities later this year.

Noreco says production from the DONG-operatedOselvar field, which came onstream in the Norwegian North Sea last year, remains well below the level originally planned. The partners are working to identify the causes.

In addition, the hostUla platform, operated by BP, has been shut in more than normal of late, although corrective measures should establish normal designed production levels.

On theHuntington field in the UK central North Sea, the FPSO Voyageur Spirit has been moored at its offshore location since October. All five risers are connected. Remaining activities toward first oil (expected in March) are subsea hook-up and testing, and completion and commissioning of the production unit.
