Winterhsall lining up well on Mjøsa offshore Norway

Bridge Energy has provided an update on its upcoming programs offshore Norway.

OSLO, Norway – Bridge Energy has provided an update on its upcoming programs offshore Norway.

In license PL511, operator Wintershall has secured a rig to drill the Mjøsa exploration well, with operations likely to start in July. Bridge has a 7.5% interest in the license.

In PL457, the partners aim to drill a well on the Amol prospect this fall, while in PL494, a rig slot has been committed for a well in 2Q 2014 on the Hercules structure.

Last year, Bridge participated inTotal’s Garantiana discovery well in the North Sea. A follow-up well is planned in 2014 on PL554/554B, with the partners looking to define a prospective target.

In the UK North Sea, Bridge has a 50% interest in the Duart South discovery and the Duart East prospect. The operator has progressed subsurface studies in both cases, and is looking to take a semisubmersible on a long-term contract. The Duart in-field development could form part of the potential drilling program.

Finally, Bridge is seeking a farm-in partner for itsVulcan East, Vulcan North West, and Vulcan South licenses in the UK southern North Sea.
