KCA to drill development wells offshore Thailand for PTTEP

PTTEP, the national oil company of Thailand, has awarded KCA Deutag a contract for drilling and maintenance services using the self-erecting tender barge Glen Affric.

ABERDEEN, UK –PTTEP, the national oil company of Thailand, has awarded KCA Deutag a contract for drilling and maintenance services using the self-erecting tender barge Glen Affric. The contract runs for about a year and has a 150-day extension option.

The barge is expected todrill as many as 29 wells on PTTEP’s Zawtika project, said Larry Stamp, regional manager for Southeast Asia and Australasia for KCA Deutag.
