BP widens Technip Angola offshore support role

BP Angola has awarded Technip a five-year contract for engineering and modification services for FPSOs in blocks 18 and 31 offshore Angola.

PARIS – BP Angola has awarded Technip a five-year contract for engineering and modification services for FPSOs in blocks 18 and 31 offshore Angola. These serve the Greater Plutonio and Plutao, Saturno, Venus and Marte (PSVM) projects.

The new contract extends Technip’s role to procurement and management of offshore and onshore construction activities. Technip has completed aprevious five-year contract for engineering services for the Greater Plutonio FPSO.

The company’s operating center in Luanda, Angola, will manage the program that is due to be completed at the end of 2017.
