Aramco extends offshore pipelay scope

Saudi Aramco has awarded Saipem a lump-sum contract for work offshore Saudi Arabia.

SAN DONATO MILANESE, ItalySaudi Aramco has awarded Saipem a lump-sum contract for work offshore Saudi Arabia.

This involves extra work on installation of trunklines for development of theArabiyah and Hasbah fields, the scope of which was set originally in 2011.

In the North Sea, Saipem has won various transport and installation contracts from Statoil concerning deployment of theSaipem 7000 construction vessel in the Norwegian and UK sectors.

Finally, Eni has extended its charters of Saipem’s drilling rigsSaipem 10000 by five years, starting in October 2014, and of the Scarabeo 4 by one year until August 2014. Total value is $1.2 billion.
