READING, UK– BG Group has appointed Chris Finlayson as chief executive. He succeeds Sir Frank Chapman.
Finlayson has more than 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry. He joined the company from Royal Dutch Shell plc in August 2010 and was appointed to the board on Nov. 15, 2011.
He is currently executive director and managing director of BG Advance and will take over as chief executive on Jan. 1, 2013.
