Sea Trucks to install GoM piping for Pemex

Sea Trucks has won a contract for a pipeline installation project offshore Mexico.

ROTTERDAM, the Netherlands –Sea Trucks has won a contract for a pipeline installation project offshore Mexico. The contract with Pemex is in conjunction with Tradeco.

In the AKAL field; three 24-in diameter subsea pipelines are to connect four platforms 90 km (56 mi) northeast of Ciudad Del Carmen.

Sea Trucks will mobilize its DP-3 pipelay construction vesselJascon34 for offshore campaign during 1Q and Q2 2013.

The EPCI project comprises the extension of topsides of the four platforms with process equipment and associated piping, fire and gas, electrical and control systems. Further, the infrastructure among the AKAL platforms will include installation of a number of subsea pipelines, pig launchers/receivers, spools and risers, including pressure testing and trenching.
