LNG-powered vessel to support Martin Linge

HELSINKI, Finland – Wärtsilä will provide ship design services and a power and propulsion system for a new LNG-powered platform supply vessel (PSV).

The vessel, which will serveTotal’s Martin Linge field development in the North Sea, will be built by Norwegian yard Hellesøy Verft, and will be owned and operated by Siem Offshore.

The Wärtsilä VS4411 LNG PSV design incorporates power and propulsion, electrical and automation systems, including a complete four-split low loss concept solution. The vessel will also be equipped with the Wärtsilä LNGPac LNG storage and handling system.
