HOUSTON – Saipem’s semisubmersible Scarabeo 3 has spudded the Dussafu Tortue Marin-1 (DTM-1) exploration well offshore Gabon for Harvest Natural Resources.
The well is being drilled in 380 ft (116 m) of water on theDussafu Marin PSC.
It is designed to test stacked post-salt Madiela and presalt Gamba and Dentale reservoir targets to a planned TD below sea level of 10,500 ft (3,200 m). Drilling is expected to last 40 days, but the program may be extended for test/evaluation purposes in the event of a discovery.
