Canadian Natural Resources (CNR) has completed conversion of the license of its 100% working interest block in South Africa.

CALGARY, Canada – Canadian Natural Resources (CNR) has completed conversion of the license of its 100% working interest block in South Africa.

All regulatory requirements to drill a well are fulfilled. Targeted drilling windows are 4Q 2013 to 1Q 2014 and 4Q 2014 to 1Q 2015.

Offshore Cote d’Ivoire, the company is progressing an eight-well infill drilling program at theEspoir field.

The rig has arrived and preparations are in hand to begin drilling. CNR is aiming for first oil in 2Q 2013. The company plans to ramp up to production of 6,500 boe/d following completion of the Espoir drilling program, offsetting natural declines.
