Transocean gets partial suspension of injunction in Brazil

The Brazilian Superior Court of Justice has granted a partial suspension of the preliminary injunction against Transocean Ltd. (NYSE:RIG) that would have halted operations offshore Brazil.

HOUSTON –The Brazilian Superior Court of Justice has granted a partial suspension of the preliminary injunction against Transocean Ltd. (NYSE:RIG) that would have halted operations offshore Brazil.

In response to the request by ANP, the Brazilian oil regulatory agency, the partial block on theinjunction permits Transocean to continue to operate at all fields offshore Brazil except Campo de Frade.

Transocean says it will continue to pursue all legal avenues to resolve the litigation in Brazil.
