Offshore staff
ABERDEEN, UK -- BP (NYSE:BP) has extended its contract with Subsea 7 for subsea construction, inspection, repair and maintenance services for the Foinaven and Schiehallion fields, 175 km (109 mi) west of Shetland.
The extension is valued at around $300 million and runs from 2013 through 2017.
Subsea 7’s multi-purpose vessel, Subsea Viking will provide support services to both fields which are within 15 km (9 mi) of each other, in water depths of 350-450 m (1,148-1,476 ft.).
