Reef Subsea wins ROV contract for gravity, subsidence monitoring offshore Norway

Reef Subsea Norway has won an ROV contract for seabed gravity and subsidence monitoring on Statfjord, Mikkel, and Ormen Lange offshore Norway.

BERGEN, Norway --Reef Subsea Norway has won an ROV contract for seabed gravity and subsidence monitoring on Statfjord, Mikkel, and Ormen Lange offshore Norway. The 21-day contract has an option for 24 added days.

Reef Subsea has mobilized its newbuild DP subsea construction vessel,Reef Larissa, and its Triton XLX Work-Class ROV for the project. Water depths range from 145 m to 1,100 m (476 ft. to 3,609 ft.) with temperatures at the Ormen Lange site down to -1ºC (30ºF).

The ROV will deploy a gravimeter instrument package by Gravitude AS.

The fields are operated by Statoil and A/S Norske Shell.
