SINGAPORE– Premier Oil Vietnam Offshore BV has awarded EOC Ltd. (OSE:EOC) a contract to provide project management, engineering, and procurement services for the upgrades of the FPSOLewek EMAS.
The vessel is being upgraded to accommodate a subsea tieback linking the FPSO to the nearbyPremier-operated Dua oil field offshore Vietnam. Work has started on the $15-million contract and will be completed in late 2013.
EOC’s COO Jon Dunstan said: “We are delighted that Premier has exercised this option to upgrade theLewek EMAS and are excited to demonstrate the unit’s capacity and flexibility to accommodate additional throughput, which will benefit both the vessel’s owners and Premier.”
