LONDON –The Energy Industries Council (EIC) has appointed Paul Mitchell as chairman of its Board. He has served on the board of the UK trade association for two years.
Mike Rolls,director of Business Development, Sustainability and Government Affairs at Siemens UK Energy Sector, is retiring from the position, having served since May 2009.
“I am particularly keen to see the energy industry influence and lead the solutions that are needed, rather than just responding to short term needs,” said Mitchell. “My appointment as Chairman will enable me to support the UK energy supply chain in its efforts through the work of the EIC.”
Mitchell is with Rotary Building Services, a Lorne Stewart Group company.
