ABERDEEN, UK – BP has taken delivery of a new 700-metric ton (771-ton) processing module on the Andrew platform in the UK central North Sea.

This is dedicated to development of the satelliteKinnoull field and the Andrew field Lower Cretaceous reservoirs. Tying in Kinnoull should allow production through the platform to be extended by a further decade.

Three subsea production wells (trees supplied by Cameron) have been drilled into the Kinnoull reservoir. Four subsea pipeline bundles manufactured and installed by Subsea 7 will transport the fluids to the platform for processing and onward export via the Forties and CATS pipeline systems.

Midway along the 28-km (17.4-mi) bundle system a tie-in structure has been installed to facilitate future development of the Arundel oil field.

Production from Kinnoull is expected to peak at 45,000 boe/d.

Vetco Gray is manufacturing and testing the subsea control system in Nailsea, western England; Isleburn in Invergordon, northern Scotland, fabricated the riser caisson and subsea structures; from Newcastle, Duco is supplying a 28-km umbilical, and Bel the subsea valves.
