Indonesia plans to offer for bids 23 new oil and gas blocks yet this year in an effort to stem declining production.

JAKARTA, Indonesia –Indonesia plans to offer for bids 23 new oil and gas blocks yet this year in an effort to stem declining production.

Evita Legowo, director-general of oil and gas, Ministry of Energy and Minerals Resources, said some of the blocks will be offered for open bidding and others offered directly, according to Dow Jones.
