BRIL expanding ROV support fleet

Bibby Remote Intervention Ltd. (BRIL) has installed Sub Atlantic Comanche ROVs on Bibby Offshore’s North Sea diving support vessels.

ABERDEEN, UK – Bibby Remote Intervention Ltd. (BRIL) has installed Sub Atlantic Comanche ROVs on Bibby Offshore’s North Sea diving support vessels. These are the Bibby Topaz, Bibby Sapphire, and Toisa Polaris.

Additionally, BRIL is providing survey and position services onboard all three vessels with NCS Survey.

Recently, BRIL awarded Soil Machine Dynamics a five-year frame contract worth $40 million to provide a range of hydraulic work-class ROVs to BRIL. The company took delivery of the first of these in September, the 100-hp P Atom, and will receive a new 3,000-m (9,842-ft) depth rated, 150-hp Quasar, in November.

The company has invested a further £1.8 million ($2.9 million) in two SeaEye Lynx inspection class ROVs, both installed on board Bibby Offshore’sNOR Spring DP-2 ROV support vessel currently offshore Indonesia providing inspection services for Pertamina.

BRIL will provide support services for the Bibby Offshore Ltd. Asia Pacific division, based in Singapore. The company plans further investments in equipment, ordering a mixed fleet of work-class and heavy-duty construction ROVs.
