STAVANGER, Norway –Dong Energy has contracted Aker Solutions (Oslo Børs:AKSO) to provide well intervention services offshore Norway and Denmark. Aker will delivery electrical wireline logging and wireline tractor services.

The agreement is for two years with a two-year extension option and is valued by Aker at NOK 40 million/year ($7 million/year). Aker will provide the services from Esbjerg, Denmark, and Stavanger.

“Dong Energy is an exciting company to support as its portfolio of operated platforms offshore Norway and Denmark is rapidly growing,” said Rolf Leknes, who heads up the Scandinavian well intervention services operation in Aker Solutions.

“The Trym and Oselvar fields offshore Norway came onstream earlier this year, and the Hejre and Solsort developments on the Danish continental shelf are in the pipeline. We are happy that Dong has renewed the trust in our services and look forward to continue supporting them in increasing production and recovery rates from their offshore wells.”
