OSLO, Norway– Aker Solutions (Oslo Børs:AKSO) has established a subsea lifecycle service base in Labuan, Malaysia.

Located in Labuan Federal Territory in Eastern Malaysia, the new service base will supportMurphy Sabah Oil’s current Kikeh and upcoming Kikeh Phase II, Siakap developments with an expected 20-plus-year field life, and Petronas’ Kumang Kanowit development.

The facility covers 13,680 sq m (147,250 sq ft) with a 1,296-sq m (13,950-sq ft) workshop that has a 75-metric ton (83-ton) overhead crane and pressure testing capabilities of up to 15,000 psi (1,034 bar).
