OSLO, Norway – Rocksource has entered into agreement for a 15% interest in an unnamed production license in the Norwegian Sea.
The existing partners are expected to make a drill or drop decision later this fall. If the outcome is positive, an exploration well could follow next year.
Mapping suggests the license includes low- to medium-risk oil prospects. A potential discovery could be tied back to existing infrastructure nearby.
Final agreement is pending approval from Norway’s government.
