Pearl Oil contracts offshore wellhead platform for Thailand

PERTH, Australia – Pearl Oil (Amata) Ltd. has signed a $60-million contract with Clough Ltd. (ASX:CLO) for fabrication, transportation, and installation of a wellhead processing platform offshore Thailand.

Clough and TL Offshore SDN Berhad will perform the work plus hook up of the wellhead platform and two 2-km (1.25-mi) long pipelines in Manora oil field in 44 m (144 ft) water depth 80 km (50 mi) from the coast.

Work should start this month, with completion of Clough’s scope of work anticipated in September 2013.

Pearl Oil (Amata) is the operator of the Manora oil field in the G1/48 concession. First oil production is expected in 2014, with an expected production peak of 15,000 b/d of oil.
