ABERDEEN, UK – Bridge Energy says its Duart field in the UK North Sea has been shut in since July 26 due to a process shutdown on the host Tartan platform.

During this period, further technical issues have come to light which prevent the restart of gas processing on the platform, which is needed to support Duart’s production.

None of the problems, the company stresses, are related to the Duart well or theDuart field facilities.

Tartan operator Talisman does not expect a restart before December, with potential for the outage to continue into 2013, depending on the outcome of inspection and remedial work.

The platform wasshut down earlier this year.
