Offshore staff

SINGAPORE – The Guara BV and Tupi BV consortia have contracted Keppel FELS Brasil for topsides modules for two FPSOs in the Santos basin.

Under the $950-million program, Keppel FELS will fabricate and integrate seven topsides modules for the P-66 and P-69 floaters. When completed, P-66 will be deployed on the Guara field and P-69 on the Tupi field. Both FPSOs will have an oil production capacity of 150,000 b/d.

Petrobras has an option for a similar contract to be exercised by 1Q 2014.

BrasFELS, in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, is doing similar work for the FPSOs Cidade De Paraty and Cidade De Sao Paulo. The yard recently won a contract from MTOPS (MODEC and Toyo Offshore Production Systems) for topsides for the FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba.
