DNO set to recover lost production offshore Oman

Offshore staff

OSLO, Norway – DNO International has taken action to tackle a blockage affecting a 12-in. (30.5-cm) pipeline in block 8 offshore Oman.

The problem started in late March in a pipeline that connects the West Bukha and Bukha platforms.

DNO is replacing a 4.3-km (2.7-mi) section of the line, and expects West Bukha oil and gas production to resume by the end of August.

A newly completed third development well should accelerate recovery of deferred production. A fourth West Bukha development well is currently drilling ahead at 3,272 m (10,734 ft).
