HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – TE Connectivity has introduced the CeeLok FAS-T connector system, a 10-gigabit ethernet, field terminable I/O connector for the marine and offshore industries.

Earle Olson, business development manager, global aerospace, defense and marine, said: “The CeeLok FAS-T connector provides an easy to terminate, high-speed/bandwidth interface that delivers on the demand of size, weight, and power reduction, without compromising upon ever-increasing performance needs. This new small format, field terminable connector empowers a wide cross-section of industry applications from in-flight applications for both commercial and military platforms, as well as ground-based and marine-based needs.”

TE Connectivity says the connector’s small form factor (shell size 8 – 0.750 in.) utilizes a panel cutout diameter of .698 in. while maintaining signal integrity. It achieves this due to a patented T-shaped pin pattern that provides noise cancellation and decoupling to minimize cross talk. Additionally, TE Connectivity says that the CeeLok FAS-T connector has been designed for harsh environments.
