Subsea 7 awarded contract in UK central North Sea

LUXEMBOURG – Subsea 7 S.A. (Oslo Børs: SUBC) has received a contract valued at about $95 million in the UK central North Sea with an international oil and gas operator.

The contract scope includes the project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of a 7.5-km (4.7-mi) pipeline bundle containing an 8-in. production pipeline, 6-in. gas lift pipeline and controls systems. The pipeline system will tieback a single production well to an existing subsea manifold and platforms.

Engineering and project management will commence from the London office in June 2012, with offshore operations due to commence in 2014.
