STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Drilling of Lundin Petroleum’s Albert exploration well offshore Norway has been suspended until August.
The semisubmersibleBredford Dolphin must first move to a Norwegian yard to complete its five-year renewal survey.
Lundin had hoped to complete well 6201/11-3 on license PL519 earlier, but this was not possible due to delays to the start of drilling.
The well has been temporarily suspended above the primary targets at 2,120 m (6,955 ft) where the 13-⅜ casing has been set. The planned TD is 3,150 m (10,334 ft). Main objectives are in Cretaceous and Triassic age sandstones.
