Petronas contracts FLNG facility for offshore Malaysia

PARIS – The Technip-Daewoo Consortium has won a contract for engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of a floating liquefied natural gas facility from Petronas Floating LNG 1 (Labuan) Ltd. The vessel will be located offshore Malaysia.

The detailed design of the topsides will be by Technip in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Paris. Engineering of the hull and building of the FLNG facility will be at Daewoo’s shipyard in Okpo, South Korea.
