Dragados/Swiber to install pipeline offshore Mexico

Pemex has contracted the Dragados Offshore/Swiber joint venture to install a 77-km (48-mi), 36-in. (91-cm) pipeline to connect the Coastal Connecting Platform to an onshore terminal in Dos Bocas.

MEXICO CITY– Pemex has contracted the Dragados Offshore/Swiber joint venture to install a 77-km (48-mi), 36-in. (91-cm) pipeline to connect the Coastal Connecting Platform to an onshore terminal in Dos Bocas.

All the work will be performed and managed in Mexico using one of Swiber’s pipelay barges and supported from Dragados Offshore’s yard near Tampico, and the logistics base in Ciudad del Carmen.

This will be Dragados Offshore’s first offshore pipeline project and Swiber’s first project in the Gulf of Mexico. The duo also will handle associated modifications to existing facilities.
