Bredero Shaw adds to Ichthys pipeline work

TORONTO – ShawCor Ltd. (TSX: SCL.A, SCL.B) has won a $100-million contract from McDermott Australia Pty Ltd. for pipeline coatings and related products and services for flowlines and tie-in spools at the Ichthys LNG project offshore Australia.

Bredero Shaw will coat approximately 148 km of 6-in to 18-in diameter pipe with three-layer polypropylene anticorrosion coating and Thermotite multi-layer polypropylene insulation. Work will begin in 2Q 2013 at Bredero Shaw's facilities in Kabil, Indonesia, and Kuantan, Malaysia.

This is separate from an earlier contract regarding the gas export pipeline.
