ABERDEEN, UK – Dana Petroleum has delivered first gas from the Van Nes field subsea development in the Dutch North Sea.

The field in block P11b is within the Medway development area, 60 km (37 mi) northwest of The Hague, and is operated by Dana in partnership with state-owned EBN.

Van Nes’ single subsea well is connected to the Dana-operated De Ruyter platform. It will eventually produce around 4,000 boe/d.

In January, Dana brought into production the Van Ghent tri-lateral oil well under the Medway Phase I program.
