ABERDEEN, UK – Talisman Energy (TSX:TLM;NYSE:TLM) has contracted Reef Subsea to provide two maintenance support vessels for its brownfield modification programs on various UK North Sea fields.
Reef will manage the project, supplying theReef Despina and Reef Larissa for a total of 230 working days between now and September.
Both vessels recently underwent upgrades at the A&P Tyne shipyard in northeast England. This included increasing accommodation to house 75 personnel, installing a dedicated power supplies deck for use on the aft working deck, and the addition of a further HiPaP 501 referencing and positioning system. Additionally, the vessels’ wet exhaust system was replaced with a dry exhaust system.
Both vessels will carry two work class ROVs.
