    Premier shifts North Sea well focus to Catcher area

    Premier is abandoning its Stingray exploration well in the UK North Sea as a dry hole.

    LONDON – Premier is abandoning its Stingray exploration well in the UK North Sea as a dry hole. Well 15/13b-11 was drilled on license P1212, covering block 15/13b.

    Next up for Premier will be the Carnaby well on the Catcher acreage in the central UK North Sea, which should spud toward the end of next week.

    Thereafter, the semisubSedco 711 will drill the Coaster prospect on an adjacent block to Carnaby’s.
