LONDON – Petronas has awarded Petrofac Facilities Management Asia Pacific a $220-million contract to refurbish the Bekok-C platform.

Petrofac will provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning services to the platform. The overall project is scheduled to be completed in about 15 months.

Bekok-C is a manned installation in the southeast Malay basin. It serves as a gas processing and compression hub, exporting gas from the Guntong, Tiong, and Bekok fields in block PM9, in addition to producing crude oil and gas from its own wells.
