Pemex contracts Technip for two subsea pipeline projects in GoM

Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) has signed two subsea pipeline contracts for Technip to work in the Gulf of Mexico.

PARIS –Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) has signed two subsea pipeline contracts for Technip to work in the Gulf of Mexico.

The contracts, with a total value of €105 million ($133 million) cover the following:

1. Procurement and construction of two 16-in rigid pipelines of 9.2 km (5.7 mi) and 8.6 km (5.3 mi), respectively

2. Development of engineering, procurement, and construction of a 24-in rigid gas pipeline 17 km (10.5 mi) long.

Technip´s operating center in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, will execute both contracts, which are scheduled to be completed at the end of 2012.
