Offshore staff
SYDNEY, Australia –Drilling ofthe Geographe 2 development well offshore southern Australia in the Otway basin is under way. Origin Energy Ltd. (ASX:ORG) says this is the first of two wells planned by the VIC/L23 Joint Venture on the gas field.
If successful, both wells will be completed and connected to the existing Thylacine offshore platform using subsea tiebacks. Once operational, the field will be controlled remotely from shore. This is part of theOtway Gas Project.
VIC/L23 participating interests are Origin Energy Resources Ltd - Operator (67.23%), Benaris International Pty Ltd (27.77%), and Toyota Tsusho Gas E&P Otway Ltd (5%).
