Subsea 7 extends construction vessel contracts

BERGEN, Norway Subsea 7 has exercised an option to extend a contract on the construction vessel Skandi Seven by one year from March 31, 2013.

According to owner DOF Subsea, Subsea 7 has also declared an option to employ the Skandi Skansen for a fixed period until July 2013.

Elsewhere, DOF Subsea Asia Pacific has entered into several contracts in the Far East for the vessels Skandi Singapore, Skandi Hercules and Geobay. And ConocoPhillips has contracted the Skandi Skolten from DOF Subsea Atlantic.

Recently, DOF Subsea Rederi commissioned STX OSV AS to build a new 121-m (397-ft) long vessel of the OSCV 11 design.
