Stirling buys Norwegian drill waste specialist

Private equity firm Stirling Square Capital Partners has acquired waste management provider SAR from AR Incoronato and Westco.

TANANGER, Norway –Private equity firm Stirling Square Capital Partners has acquired waste management provider SAR from AR Incoronato and Westco.

SAR services Norway’s oil and gas industry by handling and treating oil- contaminated drill waste, hazardous and industrial waste from offshore oil installations, and tank cleaning. The company operates nine bases along the Norwegian coastline, employing 250 personnel.

Each base represents an onshore point of entry for all types of waste from offshore installations. The company has vessels to transport and store the waste, and dedicated facilities and processes to treat the waste.

Now it is looking to expand internationally, and has secured contracts in Kuwait, India, and Jordan and the further development of its international operations will be a focus for the management team going forward.
