OTC 2012: Tesco’s directional liner drilling system offers operational efficiencies

Tesco Corp. has won an OTC Spotlight Award for its patented liner drilling system. The company says that the system enables users to simultaneously drill a directional wellbore and run the liner in a single trip. The operator can do this while always having the option to set the liner in tension anywhere in the parent casing, while also having the ability to retrieve the BHA without having to pull the liner to the surface.
