HOUSTON – TE Connectivity (TE) is featuring its latest developments in subsea communication solutions and undersea cable systems this week at the Offshore Technology Conference.

Featured products include:

  • C-Lite Lightweight Cables - Use advanced thin-wall insulation and jacket technology to dramatically reduce size and weight without reducing performance
  • STEEL-LIGHT and ELECTRO-LIGHT cables - A tight-buffered optical fiber design for umbilical cables is designed for dynamic performance in harsh environments
  • XLPE Umbilical Cables - Using XLPE, cross-linked polyethylene, as an insulation option for undersea umbilical cables reduces the wall thickness of the insulation, reducing the size and weight, allowing umbilical cables attached to ROVs to become longer
  • Solutions for Topside - including relays and contactors, tubing and molded parts, sealed harnessing components, terminals and splices, rugged optics and rochester cables (BOP, MUX, and wireline)
  • Optical cable elements and connectivity - including rugged expanded-beam optical connectors and optical inserts for custom connectors.
