HOUSTON –The VeriCal In-Situ Calibration Verification System now is available in Fluid Components International’s ST100 Series Thermal Mass Flow Meter, and will be demonstrated at OTC 2012.

The meter and calibration system are designed to comply with 30 CFR Part 250, Subpart K, Section 250 that says domestic US offshore facilities processing more than 2,000 b/d of oil must have flare/vent gas flow meters.

The system allows for verification of meter calibration without removing the meter from its place in the processing system. No trip to a lab is needed, either, obviously.

The ST100 stores as many as five unique calibration groups to accommodate broad flow ranges, differing mixtures of the same gas and multiple gases, and obtains up to 1000:1 turndown.

The ST100 also can migrate to work with 4.20 mA analog, frequency/pulse, alarm relays, or digital bus communications if needed by changing out a plug-in card on location.
