OTC 2012: DrillAssist by AETI to get introduction at show

American Electric Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:AETI) is using the 2012 Offshore Technology Conference to introduce its new M&I DrillAssist Drilling Control System.

HOUSTON –American Electric Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:AETI) is using the 2012 Offshore Technology Conference to introduce its new M&I DrillAssist Drilling Control System.

Based on technology acquired from Amnor earlier this year, DrillAssist is designed to manage, control and monitor drilling rig operations and incorporates these control system elements:

  • Draw works control/AutoDriller with WOB, ROP, standpipe pressure and torque control
  • Mud pump control
  • To drive/rotary table monitor
  • Power system management covering all rig power equipment
  • Rig monitoring and communications.

AETI says DrillAssist will run on many PLC platforms and can be configured as either chair or stand-up and other cabin options.
