RIO DE JANEIRO – OGX Petróleo e Gás Participações S.A. (Bovespa: OGXP3; OTC: OGXPY.PK) has commissioned two further wellhead platforms (WHPs) 3 and 4, for field developments in the Campos basin.
These are in addition to WHPs 1 and 2 which are under construction by Techint, and which are due for delivery in 2014 for installation at theWaimea and Waikiki complexes.
“With the advance of the appraisal campaign in this basin and the achievement of important results in the discovered accumulations, we are now requesting WHPs 3 and 4, which will be built in the OSX shipyard in the Açu Superport, thus contributing to the achievement of OGX’s production targets,” said Paulo Mendonça, OGX’s general and exploration officer.
