PARIS – The flare on Total E&P UK’s Elgin field wellhead platform has extinguished itself, the company confirmed this weekend.
Evidence was provided by two surveillance flights which have been monitoring the ongoing gas leak that has shut down operations at Elgin.
Vessels in the area reported no further flare activity.
