MOS adds Burj accommodations jackup to fleet

Millennium Offshore Services has added a jackup accommodation unit to its fleet and also has expanded operations into the Asia/Pacific region.

AJMAN, UAE –Millennium Offshore Services has added a jackup accommodation unit to its fleet and also has expanded operations into the Asia/Pacific region.

The jackup, formerly the DiamondOcean Tower now named Burj, was converted into the accommodation support vessel at the Lamprell Sharjah facility in the UAE. It can take 236 personnel in waters to 350 ft (107 m) deep, and can be expanded to accommodate 500. The Burjalso has a 200 MT crane on a 65 ft (20 m) cantilever structure.

TheBurj has a contract with ConocoPhillips Australia Pty Ltd for work at the Bayu Undan facility in the Timor Sea. This move into the Asia/Pacific region includes the opening of local offices.
