BERGEN, Norway –Dolphin Geophysical Inc. has purchased Open Geophysical Inc. Dolphin also says that all its seismic survey vessels will be upgraded with OGI software for on-board fasttrack processing.

OGI develops seismic processing software designed to work on modern computer architecture and graphic user interface to make it cost-effective and easy to use, says Dolphin.

"We are extremely excited to be investing in OGI and to be using the Open CPS software for both our on board and onshore, marine processing package,” said R. Gareth Williams, chief geoscientist of Dolphin. “This is a major step towards developing our processing and multi-client services and hence capturing the full value chain in those businesses.”
